if I really, truly followed my worst instincts, you'd see every step every character takes throughout the story. but I've figured out things like "timeskips" and "narrative interlacing," so all you're getting is this one indulgent sequence.

The grey-haired stranger looks on as Cameron sprints across the rooftops.
"What a nice kid! I should do youth outreach more often!"
Cam lowers himself from a building's stairwell to an office rooftop.
"Look at him go! I wonder what kind of time he's running."
Cam hops onto a skybridge, crossing the road.
The stranger looks at their bare, watchless wrist. "Time to buy a watch!"
